The team at Fabulous Fan Fayre (F3) - part of the One Event Management Group - were ecstatic last night when they picked up the ‘Business Citizenship Award’ at the prestigious ‘Spirit of Manchester 2016’ Awards Ceremony, held at the Sheridan Suite, Manchester.
The Spirit of Manchester Awards is a series of awards celebrating and highlighting all the excellent work being carried out in Manchester’s voluntary and community sector, something that the F3 team care a lot about.
At the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club, F3 are the hospitality and catering partners and run a Not for Profit (NFP) programme on match days and during special events.
Volunteers from different NPF groups are invited and encouraged to work alongside the F3 catering team and become a ‘unique partnership’ to deliver the stadium catering to 55,000 fans in designated retail kiosks.
A percentage of the profits generated by each kiosk is then paid directly to the NFP organization. It is a great programme which has generated over £100,000 since it began in 2014 and is the first of its kind in the UK.
During this 2016/17 season at the Etihad Stadium, F3 are currently working with several different charities / NFP groups which include Citywise, Mellor Country House, Street Soccer Academy, Young Champions Sport and Feed Manchester.
They are also planning to introduce the programme at Watford Football Club, another Premiership football club F3 are catering partners for.
