New auction business set to provide an alternative way of buying and selling aircraft parts

The Aviation Auction, the online service created to enable operators, fleet owners and large-scale stock holders to release cash from their surplus aircraft parts, will hold its next major auction starting 3rd April 2017.

Created by aviation and auction specialists, the service facilitates the sale and purchase of parts efficiently and with no risk. The Aviation Auction also responds to the demand from buyers for a new purchasing channel that provides an alternative to the traditional route to market.

Auctions are carried out at no financial risk to the buyer or seller and listed items will all have been subject to rigorous verification and a judicious cataloguing process.

The online nature of The Aviation Auction means that the parts do not need to be transported or warehoused until they are sold, and the spread of potential buyers is maximised through the global reach of the channel.

Clients who have already benefited in releasing equity from their surplus stock through The Aviation Auction include Airbus Helicopters UK and numerous operational and stock buyers.

The Aviation Auction’s Tony Simmons, Head of Commercial Sales, has a long and successful record in supply chain and sales management within the commercial maintenance sector.

He comments: “We are heralding a new way of doing business for aviation buyers and most importantly enabling MRO, operators and stockists with minimum involvement in the sale process, to relinquish their surplus stock while bolstering their cash flow.

“Our methodology encompasses all elements of a professional auction; from verification and cataloguing of all the items; identifying and engaging with prospective purchasers; through to the online auction, financial transactions and final delivery of the goods. It’s a seamless way of doing business that is backed with the requisite warranty and customs documentation”.

The next online auction will be taking place from 3rd April to 12th April and will see a range of consumable aviation parts applicable to the following aircrafts – B737, B757, B767 and B777 available direct from the Atlantic Aviation Group – a major MRO based in Ireland.

The Aviation Auction is affiliated with Fresh Air, the UK’s premier helicopter charter and management company and SIA Group, specialists in asset valuation, asset advisory and asset disposal. Fresh Air is part of One Event Management Ltd and is based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
