F3’s Phil Hornby announced as an Acorn Awards 30 under 30
Phil Hornby, head of public operations at F3, the joint venture between One Event Management Ltd and Legends of the US, has been announced as one of the 30 brightest prospects in the hospitality industry under the age of 30 by The Caterer magazine.
Run in association with ACT Clean, the awards recognise the flair and passion of 30 rising stars in hospitality. Past winners represent every sector of the hospitality industry, and have been nominated by their peers for making an impression in their field.
Having started his career in stadium catering at the age of 16, Phil boasts a decade long background in hospitality and joined F3 as Public Manager in August 2013, following a multi-million pound investment by Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in summer 2013.
Phil was responsible for launching F3’s ‘Not for Profit’ programme, an innovative and industry first fundraising programme for local charities, inviting them to volunteer alongside the F3 team on a match day, in a dedicated charity kiosk where they can take home a percentage of the profits made.
Phil was promoted to position of Head of Public Operations for F3 in February 2017, and is now responsible for managing a team of 6 direct reports, which rises to over 700 on match days.
